Major-Book-Buying-Spree1I just came back from a trip to the US. While I was there, I decided to take advantage of the many, many thrifts shops and go on a major book buying spree. Though I bought from a number of thrift stores, my favorite was a chain of shops called Savers, in Rhode Island.

Wow! That place is packed with books! The prices aren’t drop dead cheap, but I don’t believe I paid more than $3-$4 for anything. Plus, I had saved a while for the trip so I had a couple hundred dollars to spend.

The sad part was that after all that shopping, I didn’t have enough space in my suitcases for everything I wanted to bring home. I had to jettison some of the books while packing. It wasn’t too bad though, because at least I had takers for everything.

Here is the list of books I did bring home. It’s still quite impressive.
