Rugmaking Links
I love the idea of making my own rugs. I haven’t done it yet, but I am determined to eventually. In the meanwhile, I keep collecting articles and patterns for rug making.
CROCHETED RUG LINKS
I got these patterns from a site called Crochet Pattern Central. They had a lot of other patterns, but these were the ones I liked.
BRAIDED RUG LINKS
I haven’t collected a lot of information on braided rugs from the internet because I own books on the subject. The books are The Illustrated Guide to Rug Braiding by Vera Cox and The Braided Rug Book by Norma Sturges. The two articles that I do have, both came from Mother Earth News.
RUGS FROM RUGS LINKS
All the rugs in this section are created from remnants, samples, doormats or inexpensive sisal.
- Tapestry Sisal Rug
- Floor Fashion
- Rug Collage
- Area Rug
- Ring Around The Rose Rug
- Keep ‘Em In Stitches
- Hip to Be Square
CANVAS FLOORCLOTHS
The fact that I am not much of a painter does not stop me from dreaming.
SEWN RUGS
I love to sew and I always have tons of remnants that I am desperate to find a purpose for.
HOOKED RUG LINKS
Hooked rugs are my sisters current favorite needlecraft. She makes only large ones and then gives most of them away. I am the current beneficiary. I recently received a 3×3 foot country scene done in wool strips.
