5 Easy Whole-Meal Sandwiches

We make a lot of sandwiches over at our house. They’re fast, easy and we eat them when we don’t have time to make a “real” meal. Sandwiches are our version of convenience food.
Here are some of my favorite sandwich ideas:
Powerhouse – Toast an onion bagel. Slather on nice mustard, nice cheese, lettuce, tomato and bean sprouts.
Bagel with Cream Cheese and Veggies – Spread cream cheese on a bagel. Top with slices of onion, tomato, cucumber and green pepper.
Veggie Burger – Prepare veggie burger according to package directions. Serve on bagel with onion, lettuce, tomato, pickle and green pepper slices. Optional: mayo, mustard, ketchup, cheese.
Pizza Something – Place pizza sauce and shredded cheese on a bagel, pita or sub roll. Bake until cheese is melted.
Cheese Italian Sub – Wrap a sub roll in foil and heat up in oven. When warm, spread with lots of mayonnaise and Italian dressing. Layer with tomatoes, onions, chopped olives, thinly sliced green pepper and chopped pickles. Top with slices of good cheese.
