Easy Noodles Alfredo

This recipe is my own version of Easy Noodles Alfredo. I rarely have any cream in my fridge, so I always use cream cheese instead. I also add a bit of shredded cheese. It’s tastes delicious! Be forewarned, though, that this is NOT a low-fat dish.
Ingredients
8 ounces pasta, cooked and drained
2 tablespoons butter
1 cup shredded cheese
3-4 tablespoons cream cheese
2-4 tablespoons milk
1/3 cup Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons bottled pesto sauce, optional
salt (to taste)
Directions
While noodles are still steaming, add butter and shredded cheese to the pot. Stir till cheese is melted.
Add 3 tablespoons cream cheese and 2 tablespoons milk to the pot. Stir well.
Add additional cream cheese or milk to the noodles to get the consistency of sauce you prefer. Stir.
Add Parmesan cheese and optional pesto sauce and stir.
Add salt to taste and stir.
Reheat for two minutes on individual plates in microwave if needed. (Be sure plates are microwave safe!)
Note: I prefer my Easy Noodles Alfredo to be made with spaghetti. However, bowties and elbows would also work.
