The following three questions were originally all part of one comment. I’ve divided them into three separate queries for the sake of clarity.

Question: What kinds of polymer clay is the most suitable to make polymer clay cane or faux jewels?

Answer:  Any type of polymer clay can be used to make a successful cane. The key is conditioning your clay very well before using it. I run my clay through a pasta machine I purchased just for that purpose.  If you don’t want to spend the money on a pasta machine, use your hands to manipulate the clay till it is soft, warm and very flexible.

By the way, once a pasta machine is used for polymer clay, it is no longer safe to use it again for food.

Question: Are we able to use polymer clays to make rings?

Answer: Yes, but I would use a strong and flexible type of clay. Kato Polymer Clay is probably your best choice.

Question: Can you attach two pieces of polymer clay together using glue guns?

Answer: Yes, but in most cases, you won’t need to. If the clay has not yet been cured, it may be easier and sturdier,  to just attach the pieces together before baking.
